Wonderful resorts at Kosrae Island in Micronesia

Known as the Island of the sleeping lady, this single-isle nation is part of the Federated States of Micronesia.

Situated between Hawaii and Guam, in Pacific Ocean, Kosroe Island is one of the least visited tropical paradises in the region. Hence, it is home to virgin coral reefs that fringes the island from almost all sides and crystal clear water in which divers and swimmers can clearly see as far as 200 feet.

The island is surrounded by shipwrecks, that offer divers a world of diving and exploration sites. The sea surrounding the island is home to more than 170 species of corals and 10 species of soft corals. Then there are 250 species of fishes and other marine creatures.

Covered with lush vegetation and steep mountains, Kosroe Island has escaped the clutches of mass development that has engulfed other nearby island nations. Anyone thinking of visiting this pristine piece of real estate can stay at any one of these resorts:

Kosrae Nautilus Resort:  PO Box 135, 96944, Federated States of Micronesia

Kosrae Village Ecolodge and Sleeping Lady Divers:  96944, Federated States of Micronesia

Pacific Treelodge Resort:  PO Box 637, FSM 96944, Federated States of Micronesia
