Carlson Hotels Announces Signing of 14th Park Plaza Hotel in Asia Pacific

Carlson Hotels, one of the world's leading hotel companies, announced the signing of its 14th Park Plaza property in Asia Pacific and the first in Chengdu. The agreement to develop the Park Plaza hotel was signed today in Beijing between Hubert Joly, Carlson president, CEO and director, and John Hui, co-chairman, Century Hua Fu (Chengdu) Investment Management Co., Ltd., the hotel owner.
"This signing signals another step forward in continuing Carlson Hotels' expansion in Asia Pacific. It also supports Carlson Hotels' Ambition 2015 growth strategy to expand our portfolio by at least 50 percent by 2015 to more than 1,500 hotels in operation," said Joly. "Given the growing number of domestic and international travellers to China on business and leisure, this signing is aligned with our ambition to be a leader in Asia's key growth markets.
