The best time to visit Siros Island, home of the Cyclades Islands’ capital, Ermoupoli, are the months of May, June and September. The worst month to visit the island is said to be August, when the Greeks from mainland fill literally, every hotel room available on the island.  

Siros Island located 78 nautical miles southeast of Athens is a starkly beautiful region, of terraced fields, walking paths and sandy beaches. Though, many visit here for the natural attractions, there are others who only drop by to taste the delectable cheeses for which the island is famous. And these include the San Mihali and Kopanisti cheeses.
