One of the most ideal places for windsurfing in Greece, Paros Island is also quite famous for its number of beaches.  

The biggest and most popular is Chrissi Akti near Drios on the eastern coast facing Naxos Island, while others are Pounda, Logaras, Piso Livadi, Naoussa bay and Agia Irini.  

Lying west of Naxos Island in eastern Mediterranean Sea, Paros Island is separated from it by an 8 kilometre wide channel, called Paros Channel. Like Naxos, it is too, a part of the Cyclades Group of Islands and is some 100 nautical miles southeast of the coastal city of Piraeus.
