I received an email the other day that you may have received, too. The subject was, “Incredible fall specials to Myrtle Beach, SC” and it was sent from one of the biggest names in the business. Now, I know there are some excellent bargains to be had on Myrtle Beach golf vacations this fall, so that got me curious. 

I also know that, weather-wise, fall happens to be a great time for Myrtle Beach golf vacations. The average high temperature for September through November is at or above 70 degrees and average rainfall is at or below its lowest amount all year.

So, I clicked the link.  I was expecting to “learn more,” but I was simply taken to a page with row after row of Myrtle Beach golf vacation packages listing various places to play and stay. That was it. No objective commentary on the courses. No unbiased reviews of the accommodations. The dining “guide” was merely an alphabetical list.

There was nothing to put things in perspective and truly help someone make sense of the overwhelming number of options in Myrtle Beach, a destination that every serious golfer should visit at least once.

I guess if you didn’t care about which golf courses you’d play on a Myrtle Beach golf vacation, and you were only interested in the lowest price, this website could be useful.

Or, if you were already an expert on Myrtle Beach golf vacations, like the editors of Golf Odyssey, you’d be able to look at the list and easily spot the truly “incredible” golf packages from the overpriced duds being sold to unsuspecting consumers.
